In Florida, because marijuana penalties increase depending on the amount you possess, it is useful to know exactly how many marijuana cigarettes equal 20 grams (an ounce is 28.35 grams).

Typically, 20 grams make about 40 marijuana cigarettes, which are popularly referred to as joints, but this can vary depending on the potency of the joint.

It’s possible that 20 grams could produce as many as 100 cigarettes or as little as 20.

It’s also easy to confuse a joint with a blunt, but the two are in fact very different in terms of size. A blunt, or marijuana cigar, typically holds much more marijuana (often multiple grams per blunt), so less than 20 blunts will collectively contain 20 grams of marijuana.
