How long should it take for fire insurance to settle and cut a check?
About 10 days ago around 7 pm there was a fire next door that slightly spread on our roof. However before it could cause major damage, the fire fighter broke through my kitchen and living room window and put it out. Because it started to spread they did rip through my ceiling to make sure it had started to spread more then what it did. My landlord promised to have everything done within a week or so and in the mean ime I have been staying in the second floor neighbor’s apartment. it’s now going on 2 weeks. I’m very concerned because nothing is being done in the kitchen. I have a child and need my own space.
