How do you display a 30 day notice for late payment of rent?

When I arrived home there was a notice that was taped wide open on my door. So I called the landlord and asked if they could have folded it. She told me that in our state it is required that the noticed be taped open. Don’t I have a right to privacy by law?

Under the laws of all states with respect to a posting of a notice of termination of one's tenancy as you have written, there is no privacy requirement that the notice be folded. In fact, the laws require that the notice be conspicuously posted to the front door. The conspicuous requirement mandates that the type/print of the notice be open so that all can see what is written without having to touch the document.
