Although you can discuss with the insurance agent why your premium increased, it is unlikely that you will succeed in having the increase rescinded.

Insurance companies raise premiums all the time for numerous reasons or even no reason.  Insurance companies don't need the consent of the insured to raise premiums.

You may want to switch companies or tell the insurance agent you are going to switch companies if the premium increase is not rescinded.
