How do I show that I quit my job because health reasons
New Mexico provides unemployment if you quit for health reasons, or at least they claim to. I had a hard time breathing at my job and I went to see the doctor several times about it. I provided documentation from my doctor on my unemployment claim to the state. They denied me unemployment and reasoned that I verbally told my employer that I was quitting for other reasons. So I appealed and now I have a hearing this week. What do I need to need to show at the hearing to establish that I quit for health reasons?

You need to show that you informed your employer that you were leaving due to health reasons. Ideally, this would be a written letter of resignation to your employer stating this reason for leaving your job. Or perhaps your employment file has a written notation that you quit for health reasons. Also, did you provide your employer with documentation from the doctor? That would be helpful to show that your employer was aware (and had notice) that you were suffering health problems.
If you don't have this in writing, then it will be your word against your employer's.
