My husband left and moved to another state. I have no contact with him and we have a 3 year old daughter.

I am so sorry for your situation. You can file for divorce and for custody of your daughter as well as support in the state in which you live The tricky part is having him served and you will really need to speak with an attorney in your area. Service is part of the procedural statute in your state and is best known to an attorney there. Do not worry: the court will not make you stay in a marriage just because he lives elsewhere. There are just extra steps that need to be taken. Good luck.
