Sorry I hit send too soon. I also meant to write that you should have a legal professional prepare the deed to make sure it is ok. If there is a mortgage the transfer could be an issue.

Generally speaking, you would have to have a deed prepared and properly executed transferring the house from John Smith to The John Smith Trust. The deed would need to be properly recorded. Good luck.
