How can I protect myself with the law if the ex wife signed her rights away to have child support go through the courts?

It was agreed in court that I would pay her cash at the first of every month so she signed to not have support go through the district attorney. I have paid every month since the divorce…but now she is telling me that when my daughter turns 18 she is going to say that she never got payment and I will owe her back support because I won’t give her what she wants,ie laptops,t.v.’s …..

This is why it was not smart of you to do that.  Do you have proof you submitted it in cash -- receipts from her? Withdrawals from the bank for the exact amount?

Better get ready to defend yourself.  Get a lawyer or consult with one now and see if that could stem the tide.  Perhaps take her to court for contempt and possible intent to commit perjury.  Try www.attorneypages.comand check his or her record atr the Texas State Bar.
