How can I get a copy of a life insurance policy?

My mother passed away two years ago and I want a copy of her life insurance policy to see if I am the beneficiary, because the will would only apply if her trust is the beneficiary. The executor of the will is denying me this policy. Can I get it from the probate attorney or someone else??

If the executor has the policy, he can just look at it and tell you if you are a beneficiary.  He can at least tell you what insurance company wrote the policy.  If you know, all you need to do is call them and they will send you the forms to make a claim.  They'll require a copy of the death certificate.  Then the insurer will let you know if you are a beneficiary.  If the executor is not forthcoming, yes, call the probate attorney.  You should be able to get this information.
