How can I collect court ordered rent on a legally evicted tenant?

I recently had my tenant evicted through the court and she was ordered to pay the balance of her rent 3 days agobut she is refusing to pay and says she won’t pay. What type of action do I need to take now to collect what little money from her that she owes and turn her into collections for the money due ordered by the court?

If there is a court order requiring your former tenant to pay owed rent to you by a certain date and she has failed to do so and refuses to do so, your best option is to write her a note stating she is under court order to make the ordered payment by a set date and if she refuses to do so, then you have no other recourse but to file a motion with the court to hold her in contempt of a court order.

Keep a copy of this letter for future use and need. If the former tenant refuses to make the payment to you after so many days after you send this letter, you might as well file a motion with the court to hold her in contempt of a court order.

Rather than turn the account over to collections, having her required to appear in court might get you paid sooner as suggested.
