What to do if I am a Polish citizen that overstayed their J1 visa for over 9 years?

I have heard from my Mexican friend that there is a time for each country different that I could apply for legal residency here in the US. Is that still true and how long would that time be to a Polish citizen if that is true?

There is no basis for simply applying for a green card because you have overstayed long enough.  It just does not work that way.  There are no ways for you to legalize your status in the US at this point except through a bona fide marriage to a US citizen.
