If I have been dating my boyfriend for 9 months and he has been here with his visa and it is now expiring, will it be possible to get married so that he can stay here with me?
And have the same rights as me and not go through a big process? Just through lawyers?

As long as your boyfriend entered the US lawfully and you are a US citizen, it does not matter when you get married. He should be eligible to adjust status to permanent residence within the US on the basis of being a spouse of a US citizen.
