If I have had my green card for 7 years, how long do I have to wait to get citizenship?
I have lived 2 times in Colombia with a re-entry permit. If i have to wait more than 3 years, can I renew my green card?

To qualify for naturalization you have to have been a permanent resident for at least 5 years and out of that time you have to have been in the US (physically present) for at least 1/2 of that time, cumulatively. The way you look at it is, let's say, from this date going back 5 years. Have you been in the US for at least 2.5 years?
