What do you think will happen to me if I set off a fire alarm while visiting a friend’s school?

Last night I was being an idiot and sprayed an extinguisher at 2 am and it set off the alarm. I ended up getting arrested for disturbing the peace and false fire alarm. I went to court this morning. I have no criminal background, am a full time student and have a very good track record. The judge mentioned jail time so I’m freaking out.

So you need to ask for a public defender or tell your parents to hire you an attorney - pronto!  Generally it is a misdemeanor but you could be charged with a felony and that is VERY serious.  I would get an attorney to help you through this.  The fact that you have no prior record of criminal activity is good and that you are a moving toward a future (in school full time).  Let the attorney help you get through this mistake.
