If I’m from Europe and would like to try the green card lottery but don’t win, will the fact that I applied for it make it more difficult for me to get other types of temporary visas H1B, J1 etc. in the future?
If I win the GC and I would want to abandon it sometime in the future and go back to my homecountry, will there be any consequences?

It might make it difficult for you to be able to apply for visas that do not allow for immigrant intent.  However, visas that have dual immigrant intent should not be affected by an application for the visa lottery.  If you go back to your home country and abandon the green card, there will not be consequences.  Realize that winning the green card lottery has very small odds.
