Will I qualify for unemployment after my long tern disability ends?

While being employed, I went on a STD, and then on a LTD. My company terminated me on the day when I went on their LTD plan. Now due to the LTD restrictions this benefit will end soon, and I will no longer receive LTD benefits. Can I get unemployment after my LTD ends? I was paying taxes on my LTD income.

If you were terminated by your employer while on disability, you certainly can make an application for unemployment benefits even though you were on disability. In fact, I suggest that you make an application for such benefits sooner rather than later since you no longer have a job even though you are receiving long term disability.
