What are my rights if I was fired for getting suicide help?

I was just fired from my job because I did not show up, I went to the emergency room because I was feeling suicidal and needed

immediate help. Is there any law that would prevent this? Can I fight this in court?

In this situation, unless your absence was covered by either a sick day or vacation time (or under the FMLA or ADA), then your employer could fire you for being absent from work, no matter what the reason. While seemingly unfair it is the law. The fact is that most employment is "at will" which means that a company can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit, absent some form of actionable discrimination. Accordingly, unless your discharge violates the terms of a union agreement or employment contract, it was legal.
