Felony Probation completion requirements

I am currently on felony probation. My termination date is in a few months. I have paid all my fines. The only order of probation I have not completed yet is my community service hours 50. My court orders don’t specify a specific time frame other than by termination date for me to complete these hours. Just recently my probation officer informed me that I need to have them done within 20 days roughly as their office reviews cases for termination x amount of days out and they must be completed by that time. Can my probation officer dictate this timeframe or am I good as long as I complete them by my court ordered termination date?

Complete the hours when the office wants them done. While you will not be in violation of the court order if you complete them later (but still within the termination date), you do have to allow the probation office time to complete their review and processing. If you don't, expect that it will delay the termination of your probation.
