Employment at a retail store where I shoplifted more than 20 years ago

I shoplifted at a retail store more than 20 years
ago, I was convicted then my shoplifting record
was expunged. I was wondering if I apply to
work for them would they hire me and would it
still show on their system. It happened more
than 20 years ago

If your conviction was expunged it will not show up on your criminal history record (except possibly if applying for a job in the military or law enforcement). However, as for in-store records, that depends entirely on the strore in question. There is no law on how long a company can keep its own internal records regarding shoplifting incidents.
