You must be paid for all days that you actually worked--period. That is the law, and it is illegal (for example, a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, or FLSA) as well as a breach of contract (a violation of the agreement, even if only an oral or unwritten one, pursuant to which you work in exchange for pay) to not pay you for days you worked. You could contact your state's department of labor to file a complaint, and/or file a small claims suit for the money.
