In NY, an employer must issue a final paycheck to a terminated employee on or before the next regularly scheduled pay date; an employee who quits their job is entitled to receive a final paycheck on or before the next regularly scheduled pay date. if you do not get paid, yu can file a wage claim with the state department of lbor and/or sue in small claims court. just be aware that you will need to offer proof of your former employment and how much that you were owed. Also, the deptment of labor may ask if the proper taxes, etc. were paid.
