Yes, they may show up in the background check. Misdemeanor convictions (unless they were expuned, sealed by a court, or were junvenile convictions, which generally are automatically sealed) are public records and wlll turn up during the typical criminal background check. Of course, the person or company doing the check could miss them, but that is not something to count on.
