What to do about a driving on suspension charge?

I was convicted of DUI about 10 days ago. I was convicted and received loss of license for 3 to 9 month depending on if I took class. Several days later I was pulled over and arrested for driving after supension. My previous record was clean. Can I avoid the 7 days in jailor is it mandaory. Also, I’ve never received an official notice from DMV.

Given the situation that you are now in for driving on a suspended driver's license you need to consult with a criminal defense attorney about your situation. Instead of one matter proceeding in the criminal system, you now have two. The reason why you possibly did not get notice of a suspended license for driving from your state's department of motor vehicles is due to back log.

From what you have written, there is a good chance that if you are convicted of driving on a suspended driver's license you will end up spending some time in jail.
