Does my estranged husband have to give testimony under oath regarding my stolen car if he isn’t even of the policy?
My car was stolen and the insurance company is requesting my husband, who I do not live with and is not on my policy, to give a statement under oath. Why is this necessary?

He is not required to give testimony if he does not want to do so. However, if the investigator or insurance company want to talk to them, they can. If they think he is involved somehow, then they have the right and duty to obtain a statement.... to the extent that he will cooperate...fro your ex-husband.
