Does my employer’s supervisor have the right to go to my father and tell him he is firing me and beforeI even know about it myself?

I didn’t find out about it until the next day. Is this a violation of my privacy rights; I am 46 years old?

What you describe is highly unprofessional, but it is not illegal. There is no privacy right as to the status of one's employment. Unless there was some contractual obligation to not discuss or disclose this with others, was might be found in an employment or separation agreement, the employer is free to mention it to other people. Again, it is unusual, inappropriate, unfair, and unprofessional--but it is legal.
