Does my employer have an obligation to make all pay the same for equal job titles?

My company bought another company over a year and a half ago. The exact

counterparts in the original company make a lot less than the ones from the new

company. Does my employer have any obligation to bring the pays to the same

level, when the job titles are the same?

The fact is that not all employees need be treated the same or even fairly unless some form of legally actionable discrimination is the reason for their differing treatment. Accordingly, if your race, religion, age (over 40), disability, etc. is why you are not being paid the same, your pay differential is legal. Also, this wage gap must not violate the terms of a union agreement or employment contract, then you would have a claim.
