Do you have to make up company paid hrs?

Our boss gave us a day off paid due to a snow storm. He is now telling us to work while being clocked out to make up the hours after the fact.

Can the employer require you work extra hours to get work done that was delayed by a weather-related closing? Yes: employers determine when you must work. So you can required to work before or after your regular shift, on your normal day off, etc.
But they can't have you work "off the clock" if you are an hourly employee. All time for hourly employees must be tracked, and hourly employees must be paid for all time worked. "Off the clock" work is illegal for hourly employees; if they work, they must be paid.
