The revocation of driving privileges is mandatory for at least six months in New York State if you are convicted of VTL 1192. (Driving While Intoxicated) If you are convicted of the lesser charge of Driving While Impaired, your license will likely only be suspended for 90 days. In either case you may qualify for a conditional license once you sign up for the DMV Drinking Driver's Course.
