You really only need an attorney to advise you and if necessary object to your testimony (either in whole or in part) if there is some reason to think that in answering questions about the neighbor and his unauthorized use of your vehicle, you may reveal information that could implicate you in this or another crime (or reveal something that might give someone grounds to sue you). If that is not a concern, you do not need an attorney.
