Could an existing LLC for a rental property be used for other business operations?

I am in Canada. I have an LLC for a rental property in the US. Could the LLC be used for other businesses like exporting goods to Canada and function like a distribution company?

Yes, you can do this. An LLC or corporation can be used for any number or type of business, including businesses which have little or nothing to do with its original business. The law does not limit or restrict the types or number of businesses an LLC can engage in.
