Can I charge fees to someone who is not my direct client?

I am an accountant and I have a client who has an employee who is getting a divorce. Her ex -husband’s lawyer keeps asking my client for her gross wage information for different time periods and has asked for this information on

different time periods multiple times. I have provided my client with this information each time. What I am wondering is if I can charge the ex-husband or his lawyer for my time into each of these time he has asked for information from me?

You can only charge them if you had told them ahead of time that there would be a charge for this information and they had agreed to pay it. Without their agreement to pay, they are under no obligation to pay for information that you have already provided for free to them.
