Can an 18 year old be arrested for getting his 17 year old girlfriend pregnant?

They are only 13 months apart in age and she will be 18 soon at which time she will only be 3 months pregnant. Can he be arrested if her parents file charges? In CA.

It would be up to the district attorney's office to file charges against the adult for having improper acts with a minor based upon a review of a police report and possible complaint against the 18 year old by the minor's parents.

The benefit that you have under the current circumstances with respect to a possible criminal action against is that the adult and the minor are pretty close in age 17 and 18 years of age. It is not like she is 14 and he is 26 years of age.

There is the possibility of a criminal charge being filed given the circumstances that you have written about. However the likelihood of such is not likely given the closeness in age.
