Candlewood Suites accused me of stealing 2 pillows and charged my credit card 75. In no way did I take anything from the room, but they will not take the charge off. Can they do this? Can I file a police report for them taking 75 from me?

They said their inventory indicated 2 pillows were missing and that I am held
responsible. They must have made a mistake, but will not correct it. Can Ifile a
police report? Is this legal? The managers will not return my calls after many
messages left by me. Is there anything I can do?

1) Call your credit card compand dispute  the charge: tell them that you never authorized it and never did what they claim you did. The company should investigate and may reverse the charge.
2) You can try to file a police report to substantiate your position, but the police may refuse to get involved--they may view this as a "civil" matter (an honest dispute over amounts owed) and not a crime.
3) Unfortunately, if the credit card company will not reverse, etc. the charge, the only way to get the money back would be to sue the motel, which is likely not worth the time or cost.
