It's illegal to threaten people.  But if someone is putting your child's health or welfare in danger, then it is not a threat to seek prosecution against that individual.  So, you'd have to be a little clearer about what you mean when you say that you want this person to leave your child alone? HAs this person harmed your child? Threatened your child? If this person has than maybe its time to get the law involved without you having to say much more.
