Can the lawyer that did my dad’s will talk to me about what’s in it?

We aren’t sure if my step-mother is being honest about what she says the will states. She stated that dad left everything to his living spouce. That’s not what he told me a while back. So I want to see the will or have the lawyer tell me what’s in it.

No, the lawyer cannot speak with you: you are not his client. If you have reason to believe that the terms of the will are not being followed and that you should have inherited, you can bring a legal action to challenge the disposition of the assets. A probate attorney can help you do this, and it is recommended that you retain a lawyer. If you are determined to do this yourself, contact the clerk's office in the probate court; they may be able to provide instructions and/or materials.
