Can the federal government seize a property you are renting and kick you out?

We are currently looking into renting a property from somone who’s husband in in jail waiting arraingment on Medicare fraud. If he is found guilty and the property is seized by the goverment, can they kick us out even though we have a rental lease?

If the government seizes the property that you are living in as a renter due to the owners having engaged in Medicare fraud, you would be able to remain in the unit under the laws of all states in this country so long as you are paying your rent for the duration of your lease.

The rationale is that the government's seizure assuming it happens, occurs after you were already in possession of the rental.
