The 17th was the completion date; the warrant was filed on the 19th.

Since the probation department filed a warrant for your arrest after your period of probation was completed, obviously the probation department could. The issue is really whether or not the warrant for your arrest is based on a valid violation of your probation or not?

Most likely the new criminal charge against you is based upon some alleged violation of your probation before your probationary period ended. Given the seriousness of the offense, I suggest that you consult immediately with a criminal defense attorney as to it.
