Can my husband and I get an annulment due to the fact thatI concealed thatI was a lesbian?

My husband and I would like to have our marriage annuled on the grounds of fraud. We have been married over a year, but have not lived together at all and have not consumated our marriage. I married him in order to be normal among family and friends. What is the likelihood of our annulment being granted, and if so what would the consequences be for me?

1) An annulment is fairly likely in this case--that you are a lesbian, that you have not consummated the marriage, and that you do not live together  are all matters that go to the heart of marriage, and therefore would support annulment, especially if one or more of these elements were concealed prior to marriage.

2) The marriage will "never have happened" if it is annuled. That means that you will not be eligible for support from him. Property will be divided as best as possible with each taking out what he/she brought in. And if the marriage was necessary for  citizenship, there'd be consequences, plus no health coverage from the spouse's plan, etc.
