Can my employer make me work a paid holiday that falls on my scheduled day off?

I work a 6-2 schedule – 6 work days/2 days off. The company I work for is does business 365 days a year. Work force is split into 2 teams which alternate working holidays. This year July 4, a paid holiday, falls on my scheduled day off. It’s my teams turn to work the holiday. Can my employer make me work July 4 without offering me an alternate day off to replace my scheduled day not the holiday?

Unless you have an employment contract or union agreement that addresses this issue, as an "at will' worker your company can set the conditions of your employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of actionable discrimination). This includes who works and what days. Accordingly, you can be made to work Jon the 4th of July without offering ou an alternate day off to replace our scheduled day not the holiday.
