Can my employer evict me if the owner said I could stay

I live in Portland, OR and I was a onsite property manager and I was terminated
but I received a text from the man that owns the property stating he would rent
to me for some time. Can my ex employer still make me leave my apartment? Do I
have a leg to stand on with that text?

There is no way for us to answer definitively because it depends on the nature of the property manager's authority the relationship the manager has to the owner. The property manager and owner, for example, might have a a contract which gives the property manager the discretion to do this; or conversely, the property manager might be obligated to follow the owner's wishes. Either would be legal, and not knowing what this arrangment is, we cannot say.
