Can my boss charge me for damage caused by someone backing into the company vehicle in a parking lot when I wasn`t in the vehicle?

And he made me take the vehicle home so he can have me on 24 hour call.

You cannot be charged for the damage to the vehicle.  Since you were not at fault in the accident, your employer needs to file a property damage claim with the at-fault party's insurance carrier.  If the at-fault party is unknown or doesn't have insurance, your company can file an uninsured motorist claim with its auto insurance carrier to have the vehicle repaired.
