Can I sue for back child support for myself?

I’m over age 18. My dad left the family when I was 5. My mom struggled and was disabled. I thought he died but he showed up at my sister’s funeral. I found out he still gets a pension from the US and has a plantation in another country where he lives. Is there any way I can sue him for all the years he didn’t pay child support?

I am so sorry for the way that hings turned out here.  There is no way to know for sure if you can sue for the back child support with out you seeking legal help in your area.  First, was there an order in place to begin with? Some states do allow you the right to sue even past age 18.  Some states allow it if there has been a judgement entered for back support.  It really all depends.  Please seek legal help as soon as you can.  There are time limitions here.  Good luck.
