CanI sue a person that sexually assaulted me after he has been convicted of the crime?

 I was 15 years-old when this happened; I am now 27 years-old.

You could have filed a lawsuit for assault and battery.  Assault is intentionally placing one in reasonable apprehension of an immediate battery without consent or legal privilege.  Battery is the harmful and offensive touching of another without consent or legal privilege.

The problem however with filing your lawsuit now is that the statute of limitations in a personal injury case has expired.
