If you have a probation officer or court ordered overseer of your post-conviction conditions like classes, you may wish to discuss the matter with your criminal defense attorney or public defender first prior to approaching any one else, especially the prosecutor in the matter or probation officer.  I can understand your reasons for doing what you do but understand it will not absolve you of your requirements while in California and your driver's license will still be impacted no matter to which state you move.  Just make sure you cover all of your bases before you make the move so that you do not wind up with some sort of bench warrant for failing to meet post-conviction conditions.
