The key here for us to know is if your contract is written or oral. Promissory estoppel is a remedy available to a party in the absence of a written agreement. It is equitable relief available to a party and the court looks at various factors in deciding its application. Maybe you need to speak with a lawyer giving him or her more facts or wrote back here.
