How can I get out of a DUI?
I got into a car accident and drove away. When the police got to my house I was drinking and told them that I drank a half bottle of whiskey. I was taken for blood and am being charged with DUI.

The only way to "get out" of a DUI charge is to either have the case dismissed prior to trial, or obtain a not guilty verdict at trial. Typically with a DUI, the blood tests will reveal your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) at the time of your arrest. If it was .08 or higher, you will be charged with DUI. Also the statements you made to the officer that you were drinking a half bottle of whiskey will be admissible against you in court. Because a DUI is a very serious offense, I recommend you speak to a Criminal Defense Attorney in your area to seek your available defenses and challenges to the BAC report and police report.
