Can I file a will with the court?

My mother passed away recently. Only
her house is left, there are no other
assets.
My finances are very limited so I hoped
there was a way I could file her will in
probate court myself.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Liz W.

Yes, you can. While an attorney is recommended, it is not legally required: you can file and probate the will without a lawyer. Contact the probate clerk's office for the court in the county where you mother had lived for instructions.
