Can I cut the limbs of a tree that are overhanging my home?
My neighbor has pine trees planted as property border. Now the trees are so large they hang over my house. The sap and pine cones are terrible. We has asked for help before it ruins my roof to no avail. I need to know if I am within the laws if I trim the trees all the way too the top so there is no over hang?

The general rule is that you can trim any part of the tree that overhangs on to your property as long as it does not compromise the tree. So basically, you can not cut it to death or do anything to compromise the tree. But you are with in your rights to trim it back. Good luck.
