You can try to fight your suspension and present your case to HR. However, if you don't have protection against this action under the terms of an employment contract or union agreement, you have no claim here. As an "at will" worker you can be suspended (or even terminated) for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice. Bottom line, absent some form of legally actionable discrimination, your employer can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit.
