Can I be evicted for owed rent even though I am paying from each paycheck?

Lost my job 8 months ago. Couldn’t pay rent until 5 months ago. Manager allowed me to stay. Started new job then. Have been paying from each paycheck every other week. Equal to 1 month’s rent + the late fee. The manager has left and the landlord says they are going to evict me. Property management is unwilling to work out an agreement. What are my options? I am moving in 27 days. Can I be kicked out before then?

The property manager who allowed you to make catch up payments is the authorized agent of the landlord and the agreement that you have with him or her is binding. I would advise the landlord of this agreement and your intent to honor it.

If the landlord intends to evict you, the eviction process starting with either a 30 day notice of termination or a 3 day notice to pay or quit will take more than the 27 days you have slated that you will be moving in. I would give the landlord a 30 day notice to terminate your lease if you have not already. Make sure that the notice is in writing and you keep a copy of it for future need.
